Zakah Alquds Committe

A Journey of Generosity in the Holy Land,
Since its establishment, Al Zakah Committee of Jerusalem has continued to work day after day to preserve the goal for which it was established, and has grown and evolved with the beginning of the new century, and uses modern creative ways to perform its Islamic charity work in Jerusalem and whole of Palestine.

In this Blog I am trying to dive you a brief description of the work and activities of the committee and its different departments, hoping that even if you cannot visit here in Jerusalem you can see what happens there.

Picking Olives Project at Alaqsa

The olive tree occupies great importance in economic and social life in Palestine. since this section is one of the main sources Zkat Alqus started this project to pick the olives and distributed to poor people.

Umbrellas Project

Jerusalem, The crowding worshipers at Al-aqsa mosqe everywhere drinking water in the streets of the mosque from the extreme heat, so because of that there was an idea about bringing umbrellas for people to pray under it.

Jerusalem, Although the great distance between Palestine and Turkey, Turkish people still support their Palestine brother and support their struggling. Turkish people helped Palestinians a lot and at last we notice this at "Sacrifices Project" at Eid Al-Adha 2012. "Kimse Yok Mu" which is a Turkish organization donated 150,000 dollar approximately to buy Sacrifices meats then to distributed to the poor people through "Zkat 
Alquds Committee".

Eid Al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is observed on 03.Nov.2012 in Palestine. Eid Al-Adha is one of the two festivals celebrated by Muslims. Therefore, Turkish people tried to celebrate this festival with Palestinian so it made this project to help Palestinian people.


"We say that we are in  a bad situation that we need everyone to support us, and we thank Turkish people for their support" Azzam Alkhatib (Alokaf Chief) said while he was in a tour with Turkish representative of Kimse Yok Mu in Abireh.

Anyway, this project help hundreds of Palestinians family in Jerusalem and west bank, so we should be thankful for their support.

Almthra Renovation at Al-aqsa Mosque Project

This Project aimed to renovate Amthara in Alaqsa mousqe, this project is one of Zkat Alquds projects that works to help people in Jerusalem.
